Please note that contact tracing is no longer being provided by New York State or by our Department. Our Department will now focus our efforts related to COVID on community surveillance by monitoring for any outbreaks or for an increased severity of illness.

Get tested if you have symptoms of COVID or were exposed

- Remember to check with your insurance provider and the testing site as some locations may charge a fee for testing.
- At home tests are available for purchase at many local stores or you can get them at no cost at the following locations (as supplies last):
- Mill Creek Center: 106 S. Perry Street, Watkins Glen, NY at the Health Services Reception Desk
- Human Services Complex: 323 Owego Street, Montour Falls, NY at the Main Door Security Desk
Stay home and talk to your healthcare provider about treatment options if you test positive for COVID

- All New Yorkers outside of New York City, regardless of income or health insurance coverage who test COVID-19 positive, are eligible to be evaluated for treatment by calling 888-TREAT-NY (888-873-2869) or completing an evaluation at the NYS COVID-19 ExpressCare Therapeutics Access website, which includes a telemedicine visit. New York City residents should call 212-COVID-19. The Hotline is available 24-hours per day, seven days a week and operated by experienced Health + Hospitals professionals who have the clinical training to prescribe treatment and referrals if needed. The ExpressCare platform is a service that allows New Yorkers to receive virtual care from a NYC Health + Hospitals provider.
If your symptoms do not improve or worsen, please call your Healthcare Provider. If you develop emergency warning signs of COVID, get medical attention immediately. Call 911 if you have a medical emergency. Emergency warning signs may include:
- Trouble breathing
- Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
- New confusion
- Inability to wake or stay awake
- Pale, gray, or blue-colored skin, lips, or nail beds, depending on skin tone.
Get vaccinated against COVID and stay up-to-date on all recommended doses and boosters

Vaccines are available at a variety of community locations such as those below. Call ahead or check online for appointments.
